I had a misaligned pinky before I went to two hospitals and the doctor told me that you can't do it without an operation and that my hand would be ruined I found a doctor that I knew who put the misaligned bone back in place and then put it in a cast it wasn't that much money I paid the doctor some extra money from the film taken with the cast on my pinky it looks the same as it did when it was normal and now my pinky is normal too

This is because doctors used to be paid only tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. A few dozen dollars for a cast can't support such a high annual salary.
