I am the chief of surgery and director of the Breast Center at Fuxing Hospital of Capital Medical University, and in my daily clinic, there are patients who ask about the treatment of diseases with prescriptions, which has to be looked at dialectically.

A few words about what I think from a doctor's perspective.

I. What is a prescription?

The so-called partial prescriptions are opposed to Chinese medicine prescriptions and classical remedies.

There are several labels for biased prescriptions: unapproved, unapproved, folk, and not rigorously clinically tested.

III. My understanding of bias

As a physician, I understand the concept of bias as such.

1. It is an empirical treatment

Although the practitioner is not a doctor and does not have a license to practice, but through the accumulation of experience or family teaching, there is a certain foundation of traditional Chinese medicine; although not a doctor as a profession, but the people around the more recognized in the long "treatment" (of course, can not be called a real treatment) in the relatively rich experience accumulated.

2, there are scientific components and in line with the theory of traditional Chinese medicine

Although not approved, but the prescription has corresponding or more scientific components. For example, Chinese medicine, although this prescription comes from the folk, but the prescription is reasonable and more scientific and rigorous, although it is not prescription and medicine, and not approved and recognized by the relevant departments, but it has a certain therapeutic effect.

So, a partial cure for a great disease, this partial cure must have a few cores:

1,In line with the theory of Chinese medicine, it is not blindly mixing and matching;

2,There are more scientific pharmacological medicinal properties, although the remedy is not taken to the argument;

3,There are certain cases of treatment, that is, cases that are not singular, much less coincidental;

Fourthly, a prescription is a prescription after all, and caution is prudent

Regardless of the effectiveness of the prescription, its provenance and source are unknown, and technically the practitioner is practicing illegally if he or she is not a regular doctor.

We still have to look at bias prescriptions dialectically and take a cautious attitude. If you suffer from a disease, it is recommended that you must go to a regular medical institution to seek professional doctors for diagnosis and treatment, rather than listening to the rumors that the prescription can cure a serious disease.

Medicine is a rigorous science, diagnosis and treatment is a normative behavior; what disease how to check and diagnose, what treatment options, etc., after several generations of continuous revision, has formed a set of scientific, rigorous, the most appropriate program, which is not the so-called prescription can be compared.
